VDL Group acquires TBP Electronics
VDL Groep strengthens its position as an industrial partner in electronics. The family business with its head office in Eindhoven has acquired TBP Electronics. The core competencies of tbp are assembly and production services of electronics for, among others, the industrial, medical and telecom sectors, important sectors in which VDL is already active.
tbp electronics is a profitable company with 133 employees, accounts for more than 30 million euros in sales per year and is located in Dirksland (South Holland) and at Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. At the head office on Goeree-Overflakkee, the extensive automated production process takes place, in Eindhoven the engineering and design of the test equipment. Ton Plooy will remain involved in TBP for another year as part of the transfer. Joost van Haperen (35) has been appointed director of TBP Electronics. Van Haperen has worked at VDL Steelweld for nine years, and has been responsible for project management and engineering.
