TEXMAC Provides TAKAYA APT-1600FD-A Flying Probe Test System with Conveyor to Astronautics
Santa Clara, California, USA – TEXMAC, the exclusive authorized distributor of TAKAYA flying probe test systems in North America, announces the sale of a Takaya APT-1600FD-A Flying Probe Test System to Astronautics Corporation of America, a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of secure avionics equipment and systems for the commercial and military aerospace industry.
In making the announcement, Roy McKenzie, Takaya Group Manager for TEXMAC Inc., said, “Their new APT-1600FD flying probe tester will enable Astronautics to test assembled SMT/PCBAs faster and more cost-effectively than ever before. The 1600FD delivers high-accuracy speed and performance eliminates the need for costly fixturing. It will provide electrical test and complement AOI and X-ray inspection; in addition, it will be used as a diagnostic tool for boards that fail functional test.”
Astronautics purchased the Takaya APT-1600FD-A and added an automated conveyor for loading and unloading the circuit boards for even greater handling efficiency. The APT-1600FD incorporates a new 10-flying-Z-axis design, including 4 vertical flying probes that provide unequalled access to test points where conventional angled probes fail to contact. It features both top side and bottom side flying probes to deliver unprecedented speed and performance. TAKAYA is the inventor and industry leader in flying-probe test technology for more than 25 years.
