SIA Decadal Plan for Semiconductors: Setting the 2030 Goals Webinar
Join us Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 11:00 am EST for the complimentary SIA webinar Decadal Plan for Semiconductors: Setting the 2030 Goals. Please be sure to register for this event.
This December, SIA and the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) will release the full “Decadal Plan for Semiconductors,” a report outlining chip research and funding priorities over the next decade that will help strengthen U.S. semiconductor technology and spur growth in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and advanced wireless communications.
The Decadal Plan, developed under a grant with the Department of Energy, and with contributions from a broad cross-section of leaders in academia, government, and industry, identifies five “seismic shifts” shaping the future of chip technology and calls for an annual $3.4 billion federal investment over the next decade to fund semiconductor R&D across these five areas: smart sensing, memory and storage, communication, security, and energy efficiency.
Join this webinar to hear directly from some of the report authors. Panelists include: Todd Younkin, President and CEO at SRC; Victor Zhirnov, Chief Scientist at SRC; Jim Weiser, Director of University Research and Technology at Texas Instruments; Sean Eilert, Fellow, Emerging Memory Systems Optimization Pathfinding Group at Micron; Ramesh Chauhan, Principal Engineer at Qualcomm; Debra Delise, General Manager, Security Center of Excellence at Analog Devices; Gilroy Vandentop, Director of Corporate University Research at Intel; and Jim Ang, Chief Scientist for Computing in the Physical and Computational Sciences Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The session will be moderated by Maryam Cope, Director, Government Affairs at SIA.
We look forward to seeing you Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 11:00 am EST for the complimentary webinar!
