Sanmina reports positive earnings
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Sanmina Corporation (“Sanmina” or the “Company”) (SANM), a leading integrated manufacturing solutions company, today reported financial results for the first quarter fiscal 2019 ended December 29, 2018.
“We delivered revenue of $2.19 billion, up 16.6 percent sequentially, operating margin expanded 80 basis points from last quarter to 3.9 percent and earnings per share were up 40 percent to $0.83 compared to the prior quarter. Our first quarter financial performance reflects solid momentum across all of our end-markets,” stated Michael Clarke, Chief Executive Officer.

At the same time, the company announced that Chief Financial Officer, David Anderson, plans to retire from his role to spend more time with his family. Anderson’s career with the company spans 17 years. David joined Sanmina in 2002 and has held various financial positions becoming CFO in 2017. To ensure a smooth transition, Anderson will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer until a successor is named, and then will move to an advisory role until March 27, 2020. Sanmina has started a search for his successor.
