Queretaro goes from the aeronautical to the aerospace sector
QUERETARO — The Mexican Space Agency (AEM) is looking for the Aeronautical University in Querétaro (Unaq) to work on the generation of courses to train professionals who enter the national space industry.
The objective is the professionalization of human capital, but also its development in research, technology, engineering and design in space issues, said the director of the AEM, Francisco Javier Mendieta Jiménez.
Therefore, the university has been asked to develop capacities in specific niches in materials and manufacturing for the space sector.
“The most important thing is human resources; just as 30 years ago engineers and scientists of the aeronautical sector were generated, now we are contributing to the generation of human capital for the space sector,” he said.
