Plexus investment in Europe continues to grow due to increasing demand from customers

Plexus Corp, a global leader in providing design and development, manufacturing, supply chain and aftermarket services, is increasing its investment in Europe with further expansion of its Oradea Design Centre. This expansion will enable Plexus to accommodate the continued growth in demand for its design and engineering services from customers in EMEA.

Plexus has seen year-on-year increase in the demand for its design and engineering services, and specifically test engineering solutions, since it first opened its design centre in Romania in 2013. Investment in the facility means the total Plexus investment in Oradea is now over $50 million. In the last fiscal year Plexus’ EMEA revenue saw a 13% growth and Oradea manufacturing revenue grew 30%. The expansion of its state of the art test design centre, with direct links to on-site manufacturing, will meet the growing demand for its services in the region.

As well as working closely with the Plexus manufacturing team in Oradea, the test engineering group will collaborate with teams at Plexus’ seven other design centres globally and most frequently with design centres in Darmstadt, Germany, and Livingston, Scotland, to ensure effective test strategies are in place for each product under development. This expansion will result in positive benefits for Plexus’ EMEA customers as it brings both design and manufacturing closer together, accelerating time to market and improving product quality.
