General Manager Joel Scutchfield joins me to share some of his 2023 trend prediction and his take on his first year in charge of Koh Young America in which they shipped their 20,000th machine and celebrated their 20th anniversary. Joel is headed in the new year with cautious optimism that growth in the use of electronics in many sectors along with a renewed emphasis on reshoring to the Americas can help insulate the industry from economic storms. He also highlights issues around talent shortages and the potential impact that could have on the speed of reshoring and talks about the potential of advanced automation and digital transformation to mitigate that impact.
