Juki Automation Systems Announces Growth in Mexico
MORRISVILLE, NC Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc., a provider of automated assembly products and systems and part of Juki Automation Systems Corporation, is pleased to announce that it has seen tremendous growth in Mexico since Rene López joined the company in 2015. Mexico continues to lead electronic manufacturing growth in Latin America and is well-positioned globally as an exporter and assembler of electronics.
“Rene has been instrumental in spearheading the project management and growth in Mexico, specifically with Juki’s JM20, a multi-task platform used for odd-form insertion and/or SMT and our Intelligent Storage Management (ISM) solutions,” commented Bill Astle, President & CEO, JAS, Inc. “We are honored to have him, and super confident that our customers are in good hands with Rene leading the way on these innovative, yet relatively complicated products.”
López has been in the electronics industry for more than ten years and joined Juki after six years with Sanmina. He is a perfect fit for Juki, as during his tenure at Sanmina he was involved with the introduction of Juki’s GKG Screen Printer and KE-3010 Pick-and-Place system. In his experience as an equipment engineer, he has developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical SMT processes as well as human resource management to monitor the personnel responsible for the SMT lines.
Now a project manager, López previously worked for two years as a field service engineer at Juki Mexico, participating in the support of evaluations of projects in important companies in Mexico with JM machines and the Storage Solutions Tower. Lopez works hand-in-hand with the largest electronic manufacturing companies in Guadalajara and the rest of Mexico (Flex, Sanmina, Jabil, Foxconn) on the implementation of new technologies and automation solutions with the JM (ODD Form Machine) and ISM (intelligent storage management) machines.
