Geoffrey Doyle, Jabil Circuit Inc., to be Keynote Speaker at SMTA Capital Chapter’s Expo and Tech Forum on August 23rd    

The SMTA Capital Chapter is pleased to announce Geoffrey Doyle of Jabil Circuit Inc. as Keynote speaker for the upcoming Capital Expo and Tech Forum at Johns Hopkins University / Applied Physics Lab, Kossiakoff Center, on Thursday, August 23rd.

During his informative presentation on “Additive Manufacturing,” Geoffrey will describe the challenges of Industry 4.0 and highlight advanced manufacturing solutions that can help companies rise to meet such challenges. Topics include digital transformations, 3D printing for production parts, leveraging data to assist with distributed manufacturing, and much more.

Geoffrey is the Director of Business Development for Jabil Additive, the world’s 3rd largest contract manufacturer. Prior to joining Jabil he was President of FIT West Corp., a fully owned subsidiary of specialist additive manufacturing company FIT AG. Starting his career in the British Army (Royal Engineers) he transitioned into venture capital and worked at Percipient Capital in London for over 10 years investing in UK technology companies. After moving to Silicon Valley in 2012 he founded Growshapes LLC, the leading 3d printing and 3d scanning VAR in Silicon Valley (DAVID/HP 3D Scanner, netfabb/Autodesk). Geoffrey also established Silicon Valley Forum’s 3D Printing and Scanning forum in 2012, the first monthly forum of its kind in Silicon Valley. He holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manchester (UK), an MBA from Manchester Business School (UK) and graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
