Flexenclosure to deliver its tenth data centre in Latin America

Prefabricated data centre specialist Flexenclosure is further expanding its footprint in Latin America with a new eCentre data centre order in El Salvador.  This will be Flexenclosure’s tenth data centre in the region, following recent projects in Paraguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Nicaragua and Honduras.

The US$4.6 million data centre will be prefabricated at Flexenclosure’s manufacturing plant in Sweden, before being transported to El Salvador for on-site construction and commissioning.

“This will be the tenth data centre we will have built in the LATAM region – a significant milestone,” said David King, CEO, Flexenclosure.  “Our business across Central and South America is going from strength to strength and we are fully committed to establishing ourselves as the leading provider of prefabricated modular edge data centres in the region.”

Designed for a 400kW power load, the data centre will be Uptime Institute Tier III certified – the first of its kind in the country.  And with the location known for earthquake risk, the eCentre will be custom designed and reinforced to withstand seismic disturbance.

eCentre is a state-of-the art, custom-designed, prefabricated and pre-integrated data centre building that is fast to deploy, energy efficient and fully future proofed.  With its flexible and easily expandable white space, eCentre enables highly capital efficient data centre deployments and has been certified up to Uptime Institute Tier IV level.
