Electrical Components International builds manufacturing plant in Queretaro
Executives from the Missouri-based manufacturing company Electrical Components International, Inc. (ECI), recently broke ground at the municipality of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro to build what would be its first production facility in the state, but twelfth overall in Mexico.
The developer and producer of wire harnesses, subassemblies and electro-mechanical assemblies plans to invest US$8.8 million for this operation aimed to supply components for manufacturers from different sectors.
ECI plans to start up operations with a 140-strong workforce which will eventually grow up to 3,200 over a 5-year span.
