Atlanta, GA – The GIPC has been working on several new initiatives in the second quarter of 2020 and will host its Q2 update on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. EDT. This webinar will be led by ECIA’s VP of Industry Practices, Don Elario and include reports from committee members and the SME (Subject Matter Expert) resource pool members. We encourage both ECIA members and non-members to register to learn about current and future projects, and to submit ideas and suggestions.Here is a sample of the important work the GIPC and its SME resource pool is working on, which will be discussed on the call:
- Best Practices: Sales Interacting with Business Partners and Customers update by Russ Dzielak, Director of Channel & Key Accounts, Phoenix Contact
- Business Operations Modifications and Reopening Survey Results
- Design Registration modernization project update
- Paperless Process for Handling Manufacturer COC’s – Roadmap Review
The Committee’s initiatives are chosen based on priorities set by the ECIA Board. The GIPC then formally organizes the SME (Subject Matter Expert) groups to research the issues, provide direction and guidance, and ultimately help drive adoption. This activity results in the production of best practices, guidelines, specifications, or position papers for the electronic components authorized channel. The Committee is made up of four Distributors, four Manufacturers, one Manufacturer’s Representative and ECIA representatives. For more information about the GIPC, please visit www.ecianow.org.
