ECIA Announces Executive Conference Economic Forecast Speakers

Atlanta – The ECIA Executive Conference planning committee is pleased to announce that Cliff Waldman and Dale Ford will return to present economic forecast data at the 2021 in-person conference, Charting the Course Forwardscheduled to take place at the Loew’s Chicago O’Hare, October 24-26. Both speakers were highly regarded when they presented at the 2019 event.

Cliff Waldman CEO of New World Economics will shed light on “The World After Covid”.  Using the latest data from key industrialized and emerging market economies, Cliff will chart the state of the global economy. ECIA Chief Analyst Dale Ford will provide his expert analysis of the electronics market and report on how the industry and supply chain have been reshaped by recent events. Dale’s research shows the major forces and trends that must be managed for sustainable success and outlines the key technologies shaping future electronics products.

“These two speakers perfectly complement each other, bringing both the big picture about the global economy and the industry specific data about the electronic components industry that our audience desires to set strategy for 2022 and beyond,” commented Debbie Conyers, ECIA Vice President of Member Engagement.

This year’s Executive Conference theme Charting the Course Forward captures the industry’s main challenge: to imagine and prepare for post-pandemic business conditions where continued volatility and supply chain disruption are bound to be the new normal. The program reflects the enormous task companies face as they map their strategic plan for 2022. The scarcity of skilled labor, component shortages, inflation and continued global geopolitical uncertainty will require leaders to take full advantage of the most current forecast data and innovative thinking.
