Duotec Group Acquires Majority of Shares in ML&S Manufacturing, Logistics and Services GmbH

The duotec group has acquired the majority of shares in ml&s manufacturing, logistics and services GmbH (ml&s). ml&s has its headquarters in Greifswald and with more than 500 employees is one of the Top15 electronic manufacturing companies (EMS) in Germany.

Phillipp Mirliauntas, Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer of the duotec group, explains: “With the acquisition of the ml&s shares we have set the course for a strategic and future-oriented development of the duotec group. Due to the continuing growth in demand for electronics, we need additional production capacity, which will be available to us in the future with the support of ml&s”. The merger of the two companies is a further component of the realignment of the duotec group.

Dr. Karl J. Werner, Managing Director of HN Holding GmbH and long-standing majority shareholder of ml&s, expressly welcomes the merger of the two companies. Udo Possin and Bernd Odoj will continue in their function as managing directors of ml&s. Since ml&s will be the important pillar of the worldwide production network in the future, both gentlemen will also take over central tasks in the duotec group.

Christophe Schild, Chief Financial Officer of the duotec group, emphasizes that the location Greifswald is to be further expanded and thus new impulses arise for the city of Greifswald as well as for the region Vorpommern.

Udo Possin is convinced: “Together with the duotec group the way for a strategic expansion will be paved and the competitiveness of the group will be strengthened sustainably. We are thus optimally positioned for the expected changes in the global EMS market”.

The manufacturing logistics & services GmbH & Co. KG (ml&s) is a technology/ production and logistics service provider for the electronics industry.
