BMK Makes the Difference for 25 Years
On April 5, 2019, electronics service provider BMK celebrated its 25th anniversary. The BMK management invited employees of the first hour to a common dinner.
BMK makes the difference
Stephan Baur (shareholder of BMK) emphasized the importance of employees for BMK in his welcome speech. “The road to success was only possible with competent, dedicated and open-minded employees.” The BMK corporate culture is characterized by a friendly and team-oriented working atmosphere. New ideas thrive on this soil which are converted into real products or processes. Proof of this is that BMK today occupies the 13th place in the ranking of Europe’s largest EMS service providers – with organic growth.
Success story with impressive technical change
In 1994, the three managing directors Stephan Baur, Dieter Müller and Alois Knöferle laid the foundation for a steady success story. After its beginnings as an “extended workbench”, BMK sees itself today as a service partner who offers its customers all topics relating to electronic systems that offer them optimal and individual solutions. “Our customer integrates the parts of our service offering into his supply chain which makes sense for him. This varies from customer to customer but overall, it is always about strengthening its competitiveness. For example, we take over production or parts thereof, development tasks, purchasing, test procedures, assembly activities and after-sales services. As a rule, this is done on a long-term basis and at eye level, which is the only way to achieve optimum results, “emphasizes Baur. Jürgen Gagesch, a first-time employee and today a SMT production engineer, adds: “I have experienced the development of BMK in the area of SMT, from a lot of manual work in the data transfer to a networked, multi-tool working method. In general, BMK has become more and more professional in all areas. The work areas became more and more complex and therefore divided. As an employee, you change from an all-rounder to a specialist. ”
On the road to success with the customer
BMK has been working with most of its customers for years. “I am amazed and proud to see how many customers we have accompanied and supported on their way to the Hidden Champion,” states Michael Knöferle, Sales Manager at BMK.
BMK stands for healthy growth over the course of time. Investments, high quality standards, a lean organizational structure as well as consistent customer orientation are the keys to success at BMK – and the signs continue to focus on growth. In April 2019, BMK will commission the 11th production line in a new hall at the main site in Augsburg.
BMK takes its birthday as an opportunity to introduce the new logo and start the new marketing campaign #BMKdelta. It is also important for the management to celebrate the 25th anniversary with its employees. That’s why a summer festival takes place in July. Family members have the opportunity to get an insight into the BMK world at factory tours and to see the workplace of mom or dad. For food and drink as well as entertainment is also provided.
