Axiom Manufacturing Services set for double digit growth in 2024

One of the UK’s leading advanced electronics manufacturers, Axiom Manufacturing Services, has revealed it is set for double digit growth in 2024, as a year of strategic investment and client acquisitions delivers a record order book.

The announcement follows a period investment and customer wins for the South Wales-based contract electronics manufacturer (CEM), which specialises bespoke design, manufacture, and test solutions for world-leading customers operating in the aerospace, defence and security, medical, and industrial sectors.

2023 saw Axiom maintain turnover of around £55 million for a third successive year, despite the pressures of hardening costs, domestic and international political uncertainties, and ongoing global supply chain disruptions that continue to affect the manufacturing sector.

Building on a five-year trend of strong performance, in the past year Axiom has made over £1.8 million of investments in the latest surface mount technology (SMT) and green infrastructure, to enhance its high mix PCBA and box build manufacturing capacity and capabilities, while reducing its carbon footprint.

Further investments to reform customer facing teams are allowing Axiom to enhance turnaround times, bidding, and New Product Introductions (NPI). In addition to strengthening services for longstanding customers, these upgraded capabilities have allowed Axiom to expand into new high reliability, low volume industrial technology markets, including visual experience company, Disguise.

Chris Nye, managing director, Axiom Manufacturing Services, said:

“Axiom’s achievements during this period are testament to the unified efforts of our entire team. Their dedication is enabling us to build on five years of success to secure our projected record-breaking double-digit growth in 2024.

“The investments in our team and state-of-the-art facility will continue to guarantee that Axiom remains at the forefront of driving new innovations and unsurpassed levels of quality. This is the advantage loyal and new customers expect form Axiom, as we help them overcome challenges to build better.”

A manufacturer of complex systems, Axiom’s capabilities extend from NPI to printed circuit board assembly, and box build services. This includes providing SMT services for high performance critical systems, guaranteed to operate in the harshest environments.

From its facility in Newbridge, South Wales, the company’s offering includes DFX, PCB layout, electronic design, design for market, supply chain management, advance SMT and PCB assembly, and box build services. These services are back through bespoke test development, which can encompass HF/RF analysis, FCT, life cycle, and environmental testing.
