Abatec Group Acquires Lust Hybrid-Technik GmbH

EMSNOW has learned that the Austrian EMS company Abatec Group, member of Austrian Pierer Industrie AG has acquired the German EMS and Hybrid manufacturer Lust Hybrid-Technik GmbH in Hermsdorf/Germany and renamed the company Abatec Mikrosysteme GmbH.

“With this acquisition,” commented Dieter Weiss, Founder of in4ma, “the Abatec group is able to increase its EMS revenues substantially and thereby become one of the TOP 150 European EMS companies.”

Lust produces thickfilm technology for ceramic hybrids and in addition generates more than 50% of its revenues with normal EMS services.

Abatec has had difficult times and was taken over by Pierer Industrie AG and Montana Tech Components AG in 2018. They restructured Abatec with its two factories in Austria adding electronic assemblies to their EMS offerings for Pierer Mobility AG, a company focusing on two-wheeled electric vehicles.

In March 2021 Pierer Industrie AG took over Abatec 100%.
