SMTA Recognizes Achievements of Local Chapters
Minneapolis, MN – The SMTA is proud to congratulate several chapters on achieving notable scores through the Chapter Leadership Excellence Achievement Review (CLEAR) program for the prior year. The CLEAR program was developed by SMTA as a tool to help volunteer chapter officer teams set goals and track their progress toward success.
The SMTA Wisconsin Chapter attained silver status for 2022. They maintained a very active calendar of events, conducted regular member outreach, and sent newsletters to keep members informed and engaged. They also demonstrated their commitment to their volunteer chapter leadership team with monthly planning meetings and participation at the annual leadership forum.
Chapters attaining bronze status last year were the Capital (DC) Chapter, the Massachusetts (Boston) Chapter, the Ohio Valley Chapter, the Oregon Chapter, the Penang Chapter, and the Space Coast (Melbourne, FL) Chapter. These officer teams exceeded expectations and held successful chapter activities throughout the year.
SMTA Director of Chapter Relations, Karen Frericks, noted, “I commend the winning chapters for the dedication to their local manufacturing communities and members as well as to the greater SMTA mission. I’d also like to thank all chapter leaders for their time and effort to help share knowledge and make connections at a local level. Their work is incredibly important and makes a meaningful difference to the people and companies they reach.”
Winning chapters are recognized on their chapter websites as well as at an award ceremony during the Chapter Officer’s Meeting at SMTA International in Minneapolis.
