MADE IN MEXICO – with special guest Jalisco’s Minister for Economic Development Ernesto Sanchez Proal
For at least two decades Mexico has been growing in importance as a manufacturing geography and this year, courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been brought into even sharper focus as more brands look for alternatives to manufacturing in China. In this inaugural episode of a new monthly show, “MADE IN MEXICO”, Philip Stoten talks to Jalisco’s Minister for Economic Development Ernesto Sanchez Proal to explore the region’s success, his recent experiences and his expectation for the future. Ernesto explains some of the strategies his government has in place to attract the right investment and development to Mexico and specifically to Jalisco, a state with a large density of EMS companies and, of course, Tequila.
