SEMICON China 2024 to Spotlight Sustainability, Smart Manufacturing, Heterogeneous Integration, Talent and More

SHANGHAI ─ With China leading the global semiconductor industry in the production capacity expansion, SEMICON China 2024 is gearing up to host industry visionaries and leaders March 20-22 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre for insights into the latest developments, trends and innovations in areas critical to industry growth. width="252"Boosted by rising worldwide demand for semiconductors, China is expected to increase its share of global semiconductor capacity 13% year-over-year to 8.6 million wafers per month (wpm) in 2024, with Chinese chip manufacturers starting operations of 18 projects, as SEMI announced in its latest SEMI World Fab Forecast report. What’s more, China is expected to remain the top destination for semiconductor manufacturing equipment spending through 2025, the SEMI Year-End Total Semiconductor Equipment Forecast – OEM Perspective reported.

SEMICON China 2024 will feature 1,100 exhibitors and more than 4,300 booths in 90,000 square meters of exhibit space – matching last year’s record highs – as the exhibition and conferences address issues spanning the electronics supply chain including chip design, manufacturing, assembly and test, equipment and materials, PV and display.
