NPI-DFT Engineer Teradyne, Inc. Buffalo Grove, IL Req. 9271 At Teradyne's Eagle Test Division we have a full time, perm opening for an experienced NPI-DFT Engineer. This is a key role that requires extensive interfacing between the design engineering teams and contract manufacturing. The role is fast paced and relies on a diverse skill set. You will apply your expertise to analyze and audit designs for testability. This will be highly visible as the local subject matter expert and will require excellent communication skills to interface with all levels of management. The ideal candidate will help put together SOWs and metrics for contract manufacturers and be the point of contact for CMs on ICT/Testability related issues. Key Responsibilities: • Deployment and implementation of advanced DFT/DFD (design for test/design for debug) techniques on complex mixed signal PCBs. • Interact with internal and external cross-functional groups to optimize testability of new products. • Work with Design Engineers and Test Development Engineers to maximize test coverage. • Participate in PFMEAs. • Excel in the deployment of DFT methodologies and test cost reduction, increase production quality and enhance yield learning. Skills Required:
Ideal candidate should have…

• Strong fundamental knowledge of DFT techniques implemented on complex mixed signal PCB boards
• Knowledge in JTAG, MBIST, VCCT, VIT, Scan Compression, ATPG, Fault Simulation and at-speed testing
• Experience in Logic Design, VHDL, Verilog RTL, verification, and static timing analysis
• Working knowledge in one or more of the following; C, C++, TCL or Perl
• Experience in ICT, 5DX and Flying Probe program development.
• Experience using PCB Design tools such as PADS, or Cadence Allegro
• Experience using PCBA DFT software tools such as Test Expert, D2B, Valor, or Fabmaster
• Strong understanding of industry PCBA DFT Guidelines and standards such as SMTA TP-101, IEEE 1149.1
• Possess current knowledge of ICT techniques.
• Good project management skills and experience working with multiple contract manufacturing organizations
• Detail oriented with strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Education: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
