Leads new business capture efforts for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) supporting the Defense and Commercial Aerospace industries via proven skills in strategic planning, relationship development, direct selling, and negotiating.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Identify, pursue, track, and capture new EMS business opportunities in both the Commercial and Defense Aerospace industries in order to meet company objectives.
Close new business deals through developing and negotiating contracts.
Provide leadership of EMS proposal efforts with responsibilities to draft, review, and edit significant elements of proposals, while coordinating activities among key stakeholders and the Bid & Proposal team.
Conceptualize, and assist in developing sales support materials (video, technical briefs, presentation materials, and handouts) for the EMS area of business.
Suggest, examine, and develop alternative methods and procedures to resolve sales capture related problems.
Analyze, evaluate and present information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends the design and development of new products, as well as obsolescence and lifecycle sustainment issues for consideration by other members of management team.
Confer with product line leaders & Business Development personnel to provide business and technical advice and support in resolving capture problems.

Must be a professional, motivated, value-based salesperson focused on addressing customer needs and meeting company performance requirements.
Must have exceptional sales skills with a proven track record of developing new customer relationships and closing EMS orders in abbreviated procurement cycle times.
Required to have a working knowledge of the manufacture and testing of Through-Hole, Surface Mount, Conformal Coat, Ball Grid Array (BGA), CCA products and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) technologies.
Must be conversant in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) Analysis, as well as, In Circuit Test (ICT) – Bed of Nails; Ultra High Speed Flying Probe; Functional Test (FCT); Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Programming and Fixture Design capabilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree of equivalent preferred with at least ten years of related experience in the Business Development, proposal material pricing, procurement, and/or proposal management in the Defense Industry.
Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with others. Must be able to draft materials for editorial publications.
Must be able to understand and interpret equations and formulas related to engineering, financial analysis and bill of materials.
Must have computer skills in line with Microsoft Office suite.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: May be required to pass certifications specific to the job.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
Must be able to meet the physical demands or and office environment, which may include sitting and/or standing for long periods of time and handle multi-tasking, high accountability and stressful situations. Must be able to work as part of a team.
Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
